"After a year of trying to work with this pharmacy, I’m done for the safety of my family. My mother, who has dementia, was repeatedly given the wrong medication and presentation. A year ago, I had to ask them to remove my credit card after my mom was ordering over $200 every two days in pharmacy items by herself that were dispatched very diligently.
Two months ago, due to her condition, she accidentally overdosed on her medication, leading to poisoning and a long hospital stay. I called the pharmacy, and despite doctor’s orders for a blister pack, they sent the old prescription in a bottle. When I asked them to follow the new doctor’s instructions, they demanded additional documents already sent by the hospital, causing confusion for both the family and hospital staff.
When my mom was discharged, they refused to provide the blister pack until the following Tuesday, a week later (Roxane). After a second poisoning incident, they just delivered a bottle of Advil to her, which she took too quickly, leading to another hospitalization.
When I asked them to take safety measures, they dismissed my concerns and even suggested I take the SIM card from my mom’s phone. Their negligence has led to multiple hospitalizations and put my mom’s health at risk. I can no longer trust them and will be taking our business elsewhere.
Claimed loss: in medications recovery work lost and confusion, I will take this to the pharmacist board as I am a caregiver and will about to burn out and not finding the professional support from the pharmacy...

Shoppers Drug Mart - Pharmacy failure
I have been with the Pharmacy at Shoppers Fairlawn for years and have always been well taken care of by their team no matter what issues I've had they always did what they could to help. I went to pick up my refills that are automatically done every 30 days. They didn't have either ready and one of them needed a refill prescription from my Doctor. This is a Monday and they had my inhaler ready the next day Tuesday but antidepressant I take daily wouldn't be ready till Thursday. I said I cannot go 4 days. He cut me off talking and said well just give me a minute. I said ok I apologize I'm just - was cut off again by him. I stopped talking assuming he was doing something? looking at my file? He finally said well you are getting them late because you didn't make sure you had a refill.
I Said Sir I have never done that Shoppers has always faxed my Doctor. I've been taking the same pill for years and have never asked my Doctor myself for a refill unless the mg changes. I said if you look at my file they have always called - I have never been told to call or I would. He said well I'll get them ready now and you can pick up in 45 mins WHAT! you have the refill? why was I not told? I'm telling you now aren't I? His name was John - I hung up!
Desired outcome: I believe John has a job he doesn't much like. Either he needs more training or a good talk from his boss, I pay a higher price to come get prescriptions at Shopper's because their Pharmacists.
Shoppers Drug Mart - denying my coupon
September 30, 9:15 pm, I went to this store to purchase 8 head& shoulders shampoo. I had one coupon for each item which I wanted to use. The coupon's expiry date is September 30, 2019 .
The cashier denied my coupon saying that those are already expired. I told him not yet, it is the last day to use but they are still valid. They still denied me. I was so disappointed. I knew they are still valid that time but he did not allow me to use them.
Shoppers please advise me on this.
If you can't give me the items for free, at least allow me to use my coupons please.
