EdenPURE Keeps breaking

We bought the Edenpure 500 Oct. 2007. Used it only occasionally last winter. Stored over summer and just started using last month. Today, we turned it on and it made a loud noise (probably fan) and then stopped. Looks like the element is still working though. We should be able to open up the fan area and oil it or something. I have not gotten through to the...
