Please note I went to Mr price home at kerk street in Johannesburg,mind you this is a second visit, I was assisted again Chris who could not process the voucher again,
I think it's best u call the store and assist with it or deduct it from today purchase on my account,
I fail understand when Chris say theres nothing he can do, Please not I don't expdct such answers from your staff, I didn't create the voucher,
I highly recommend that you improve on customer service,

Unnecessary deductions
Since January 2023 you have been deducting twice the amount of airtime contracts we have. Been going to the the store and calling,they told us that they will fix it and refund me but they never did. I cancelled it end of April, you still deducted double the amount on May with no airtime and also deducted again on the 8th of June... For something that I cancelled. Please check as soon as possible and refund me my double payments. Tired of going back to the store and being told that you will fix it.
Desired outcome: Refunds for the double payments of the other months and a single payment of June

Good day does Mr price close 15min before 18H00 because your shop at Harvest place is already close 15min before 18H00 and the service here is horrible why would you put up a time and not comply to it maybe you can also address your staff to stop talking to each other while assisting customers not friendly staff service here is bad and experience it on numerous occasions

store manager
On Sateruday last week I went to purchase a lot of items for my son as gifts for his birthday.
When I got to the till I had asked the lady Mishca the cashier assisting me that day if something dies not fit can I return it or swop it around. In this pile of items was 9-10 year old underwear pack of 5. She infomormed me that I may bring back anything as long as I had the slip and the tags. I proceeded to pay and leave the store.
Over the weekend I open the underwear back and take out one undy as u open it I see it is way to big and would never fit my son. The dame thing with a couple of the other items I purchased.
I then proceed to take the items with the tags intact and prices intact with the slip back to the store in tableview bayside mall to replace the items with the correct sizes. Unfortunately I got told that the underwear can not be returned even though it was intact and prices on and never worn or even tried on before. To my dismay I asked the cashier to call the store Manager Billy for me and I explain to him that his staff told me on Saturday I could bring all items back and that she never told me about the underwear.
I was met with a very unprofessional tone and made me felt like I was in the wrong for even being in this store.
The manager then proceeded to ignore me and run away into the back office.
I asked the cashier to please call him to assist me and resolve my problem as the staff should be trained properly in what they can and can't say to a customer as I was not happy with the way I was treated.
The cashier went to call him bit he ignored to come speak to me and told her to get back to work as if im not a priority in his store and I don't exist.
I am absolutely flabbergasted this is how Mr Price Bayside treats people good customers who shop and support the brand often.
I wrote a letter stating how unhappy and unprofessional Billy as a manager is to him and walked to give it to him he could not even apologize. He has no care for what happens in his store it is shocking.
Desired outcome: to return underwear so i can get the right size. Mr Price i hope you assist me here. I wont be leaving it with this one complaint. I also want a formal instore apology from Billy.

Later today(23 June, around 11:51) I went to Mr Price(Promenade Mitchells Plain) to exchange a size as it was abit to big and also bought a Jean which was on special from 200 to 120 as indicated on the red sticker. I went to the till and found out the Jean was actually 180 and I asked the lady why is it not the price I see and she did not answer me and I decided to leave but I paid the full 180 as I did not want to cause a scene nor keep people in the line.
Buying airtime using my cell number
Hi sir / madam
I hereby laying a complain of someone who used my cell number to purchase airtime.
On March 2023 I was hacked via my banking app,, and to he person used my money to purchase electricity and airtime.
Unaware that the very same person bought airtime from mr price store using my account,, on the 20th of March and airtime of R475 was purchased from my Mr price account.
I opened a case, the bank refunded me my money, unfortunately this one of Mr price didn't notice it sooner, but I have the case number and Affidavit for fraud
Account demands
Today is 29 May 2023, my account according to Mr Price statement is due by 31 May. Since last week I receive e-mails that my account is overdue and that a handover will have a negative reflect.
I am going to pay up my account and thinking about closing it for good.
I am a client since 2006 and never have received such unprofessional service like this.

Toxicity of management and few associates
The incident happened sometime in March. I have a really toxic manager and associates who is in the inner circle,(friends with the manager) and it's really hard for me to work in an environment that's super toxic because of that I slipped into a depression due to the fact that I had a miscarriage because of work and the stress that came with it,And whenever I send my manager a message to let her know I'm ill and that I can't come in for work she makes remarks that's inappropriate to other team members about me and the gossiping is just too much whenever I get back to work I have to hear from some associates that my manager and her iner circle spoke I'll about me amd makes rude remarks and it got to the point where I'm constantly in survival mode whenever I'm at work. I really can't handle the amount of stress it's really draining and messing with my mental health it got to a point where I even overdosed because of toxicity at work and the lack of empathy and no cares in the world for what some of feel only the ones that the manager likes are being favored. I'm depressed and i even had suicidal thoughts which is something that's serious in 90% of the Mr price grp associates resigns due to the toxicity of poor management and other team members and it's really something that needs to be dealt with because when I started working at Mr price there wasn't one day that I didn't enjoy working there or was absent, for 2 years I worked without staying absent not evens for 1 day but than the work environment became toxic and it was just hell to just think about going to work and I really loved my job but it's costing my mental health and I can't focus on my work and my health is becoming a problem, I get anxiety attacks everyday before going to work. It's just getting out of hand and the people that are so toxic at work doesn't even notice it because they only think about themselves but please do something I'm not just speaking up for myself but for many other associates that feels the way i feel.
This is not all but I feel like I should stop here.

Wrong price on site/store
I recently saw two types of black suede trench coats online on the MRP site. One was marked for R429 and the other was marked for R100. The detail on both were slight but considerably different. The R429 one had great sleeve and pocket detail and no shoulder detail, while the R100 one had great shoulder detail and no sleeve or pocket detail (it was plainer). I tried to buy the R100 one online but the site informed me it was only available in store. I checked the list of stores and made my way to it. I managed to find it (just one of the R100 ones amongst the R429 ones) in store (Fourways crossing). When I took it to the till, it also scanned for R429. I showed the salesperson at the till the screenshot and pointed out the detail but she said that it was still marked at R429. It must be noted she was kind and helpful. She told me the one I had in my hand was old stock and probably that's why the site had it for the price it did. I then took pics of the item to compare with the screenshots to put forward my case to the customer care. In my screenshots you will see, I have highlighted the necessary information and detail on the garment. I believe this is a case of false advertising.
Desired outcome: I would like be able to purchase the item at the price advertised.

It is with total dismay that I write this email to your company.
I tried linking my profile to MRP card and was told that that my account has been closed. Upon going into the store and investigating what was going on I was told my account was closed via a chat with one of your agents. The person went on to read me the chat that happened between someone and one of your agents (which by the way was supposed to be mailed to me that never happened). I asked what security questions was asked to verify that I was indeed the person that was on the chat and was told only id number and account number. Surely there has to be some security questions asked? A simple check of the cellphone number used to chat would havee verified that I was not the one chatting with your agent. I did not close this account and don’t understand how this account was fraudently closed.
I have a policy on this acccount that I have been paying for years (see below 360 Extended family option) that has also now been closed, which I am reporting to the underwriter of the policy as this is fraud. So what happened to all my premiums paid? I was told that the account cannot be reinsated. I have had this account for years and have been paying for years and now your agents closed my account. Surely there is a written procedure for closing accounts? Otherwise any fraudelant activity can happen on customers accounts as your agents have free rain. I am seeking legal council on this and will be reporting your group to the onbudsman and layig a charge as this is totally unacceptable.
I want to know when my account will be reinstated? Alternatively all my policy premiums paid back? Otherwise I will be forced to lay a fraud charge against your group.

What exactly does this chat prove? It only says user on the chat and not the account holders name? and no security questions to verify identification was ask. Which number was used, I guarantee you that it is not my cell number registered on this account.
I guarantee you I was not the one communicating to you on that chat line and the burden of proof is on your company as I am going to file a formal charge.
Where did I give you a written mandate to also cancel on my behalf a policy I have been paying premiums on? Where is my years of premiums paid, is Mr Price going to refund me as I am also contacting Guardrisk on this.
Where was the sms of the account closure sent to as mentioned in ur chat (you are using as proof)?
You also refer to me as Michelle Laubscher below, the account holder is Jose Nunes (already there is a confusion , so I can clearly see how dangerous it can be giving junior operatives access to customers accounts and personal info) and this is just an email I used to mail you. You guys are committing fraud as you are nilly willy cancelling accounts and giving out personal info.
I need this matter escalated to a senior operative as your answer does not make sense and irregularities occurred on my account which is a criminal offense.
I will not be waiting another 24 hours for you to come back to me as I have now waited long enough and given you enough time to resolve this even after fraudulent activity is recorded on my account.

I have been an active Mr Price account holder for many years now, and never missed any payments. I deem myself as an important client of this group, well so I hoped. With doing many purchases on my account with no problems, I was refused to be assisted at Mr Price Paarl Mall on the 1st of May 2023. Reason was that I did not have an ID document. Moments earlier I made a purchase at Mr Price Sport in the same center, with no problems, and to be honest, in all the years having this account, I have never been asked to show an ID document when making a purchase. My signature is at the back of the card, and this is usually verified.
If this is the procedures, where was this communicated, the store manager response to me was, "All costumers know this", well not me!
Further to this extremely rude store manager, I showed my Driver license, and the transaction was done. My signature on the receipt was "Yes", I mean really, you need to have an ID, but the signature is not verified? They did not even look at my drivers license. Did not verify anything.
I am so disgusted in my experience at this store today. Should I not receive a suitable response showing me that Mr Price valid their costumers, I will close my account.
Mr Price simcard
I opened an account and was offered a sim card which will be loaded by airtime and data for R79, after a week I lost my simcard then I went to Mr price Tonga mall to report, they made call for almost hour and half waiting to be assisted that time was 8 months pregnant I ended up give up on waiting. Okay after delivery I went back to hold on that long waiting phone call never get assisted again, on the 3rd attempt the shop assistant just told me that am wasting my time no one will pick up my call in head office because they are always busy, the R79 is always on my monthly installment while is about 12 months without using that simcard. Please help me cancel the simcard contract or closing the account am unemployed R79 a month is too much for something not even using

To whom it may concern I am a value paying customer at your branch on the 18th June 2023 at 12:15 I went to the Mr Price store and asked the supervisor to put me through to customer care regarding a query on my account which she blissful assisted me on the call I spoke to a Prashanthan Parumnandtha
Customer Support Representative I inform him I want to close my account he wanted to know Why? And I still owe money which I wanted to settle

No backup for loadshedding
Good day I went to Mr price in silverton to buy some clothes but when I got to the till the electricity went and they told me that I have to come back another day as they don't have back up and that they'll be closed at 2 o clock. The store has been here a very long time so how come they don't have backup for situations like loadshedding because surrounding shops have then.
MRP Mobile
n 2019, I took out a contract with MRP mobile. This contract ended in 2021, and I settled the entire balance in May 2021 (Amount R1971), at the Westwood branch in Durban,KZN.
According to the staff at Westwood Mall in Mr Price, all was sorted. It even reflects on my bank statement for that month as it was a card payment paid directly to the store under the account. Last year, when checking my credit report I noticed that the account was showing up as a Nimble account, meaning that it was handed over. I have contacted Nimble to query this multiple times, and each time after sending the proof of payment, there was just a response to say feedback will be given, yet nothing has been done to date. I first spoke to Madimetsa at Norman Bisseett in July 2022, and then to Nicole in March this year. I've also spoke to Mr Price call centre which was no help at all, but rather very rude and arrogant towards me. They keep saying they cannot do anything as the account was handed over. I asked them to send me a statement or settlement letter as they have informed me that the account is showing as paid but handed over. At Mr Price, I have spoken to Portia and Nadia and both of them refused to help even after I explained that Nimble informed me that there was no update from them stating I have paid the account.

Buying a product of buy 1 get one
I did buy a shirt at MRP Kalahari mall and when i was at the till the lady tell me to get a item for the same price so that i can get it free so i did i asked her can i exchange it if its not right she told me yes i must just bring the other item with me she didn't tell me before the promo ends so on the 23th of March i take the item back with both my products as the lady told me and now at the tills they told me i can't give it back so i want to know what must i do with this item now that i can't wear why are u not communicating with the customers the right way saying when the promo ends and when they can return items now i have something with me i can't wear the service is so poor at that store 1 cashier at the till with a lot of people in a line
My account handed over to attorneys
I have an account with Mr Price and ecer since i opened the account i have been paying my monthly instalment the way i should. I then lost my job but i still tried to pay my account and then last year i skip October and if i'm not mistaken and September i then made payment at the begging of November they then called to make an arrangement of my next payment and i agreed with them that i will pay at the end of November but just before the end of November i received an sms that i was handed over to attorneys, i asked myself why couldn't they have waited until the end of the month to see if i live up to my promise. I then got a call from one of the call agent who was rude and refuse to accept the amount of money i was willing to pay

Not being allowed access into a store with my 5 year daughter
On 13 February 2023 Myself MR LD Lakey went to Mr Price store at Westgate mall Mitchell's plain Cape Town to purchase clothing items
At about 15pm
My wife and 2 older daughters entered the store but myself and my 5 year daughter were refused entry and I inquired to the security who was a Ms Nonkangeleko Ntsika standing at the front entrance why
She said my baby girl is having an ice cream in her hand and is not allowed in the store
I asked for the lady manager who later came and I asked her why we can't enter because of a baby ice cream in my 5 year girl's hand
The store manager said it's not their policy as she doesn't know why the security did that
The security lady responded, we do it at all the stores
This is so embarrassing for me as a citizen and brings me back to times of racism and judgment and my child suffered discomfort being without her mother
Your store is distasteful and in a new South Africa your policies are offensive and disgusting
I will never want to shop at any of your stores for support after more than so many years of being a customer

Family funeral option 4
I have not agreed to this, I have numerous times begged the company to remove this, I received a sms on 8 February 2023 stating this will be resolved in February as apparently regardless that I did not ask for this, and it was forced on me without my approval, I have to allow a 31 day cancellation period. So upon checking my statement today, I see the funeral plan is still there, please what more must I do to resolve this illegal plan forced on me.
Desired outcome: I want this removed, immediately, as a matter of fact I want to be credited for this policy that was forced on me,
Mr price mobile
I have been calling Mr Price for almost a month now because i want to cancel the mobile subscription service and iam being sent from pillar to post with no help . They make me provide them with my information and then they claim to put me through to the relevant person only for that relevant person to put me through to the RELEVANT person and the whole time they keep making me repeat my info only to be put through to a relevant person who never picks up at the end.
I rEALLY REGRET AGREEING TO THEM ACTIVATING THE SIM CARD . Now it seems like Mr Price does not want me to cancel the use of the sim card which forever does not have network , even when they told me i can cancel anytime.
